What do You Think about the Waterfront?

To continue to grow and support the revitalization of downtown West Palm Beach, the public was invited to attend a discussion on February 7th to hear details about the next phase of the Waterfront enhancement plan.

Items discussed included Art in the Park, the Meyer Amphitheatre, themed children’s area, dock operations and enhancements, street closures in the 100 block of Clematis Street, and connectivity between the north and south Waterfront areas.  Options for long term maintenance and private sector finding was an important component of the Phase II discussions.

The discussion was led by Edward K. Uhlir, CEO of Millennium Park, Inc. in downtown Chicago and a renowned independent architectural and planning design consultant with 35 years of experience. He was engaged by the City in the fall of 2011, and has toured the area and researched the most effective, viable options for the City based on other models worldwide.

Many citizens attended to hear the proposed plans and share their feedback and ideas.  Great discussions took place and the City of West Palm Beach wants to hear what you have to say, so please comment below.
